What helps

• A record: a council report, agenda item, budget page, FOI reply, notice or letter from a public body.
• Dates, places and names of the public bodies involved.
• Photos you took yourself, with when and where they were taken.
• How we can reach you if we have a follow-up question.

What happens next

We check every tip before anything is published, and we cannot cover every tip we receive. A tip is a starting point; the story is what we can confirm.

Your privacy

Tell us if you want your name kept private. We do not publish a tipster's name without permission. Email is not anonymous, so think about what you send and from which account.
