One-year countdown: Peace Fountain targeted to flow again Sept. 21, 2027

The City says the Peace Fountain replacement is in its construction phase. windsorite.ca reports a Sept. 21, 2027 target.

The City of Windsor says the International Charles Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain replacement project is in its construction phase (CR507/2024, Nov. 25, 2024). The City lists Dillon Consulting and Bronte Construction on the project, which recreates the fountain at Coventry Gardens and Reaume Park.

windsorite.ca reported Sept. 21 that the fountain is targeted to flow again on Sept. 21, 2027, the International Day of Peace. It was removed in 2023 after 45 years. The same report mentions LED evening shows, on-site winter storage and a new annual peace gathering.

The 2027 date is as reported by windsorite.ca. No project cost is included here because Windsor News did not find a confirmed dollar figure.
